Addison & Rome – Baby Portraits

I am back from leave! Sure, I am shuffling a TON of email replies and working on getting back into a routine, so it may be a while before I am… but, I am back. So, bring on the emails and inquiries… for those of you who thoughtfully delayed them! :-) While I was on leave, I did take on two shoots… Nathaniel (as mentioned in the post before this) and this shoot… Addison & Rome! Addison was born about a week after Ellen. Ellen was 2 weeks late, and Addison came early. I had hoped to get to Addison in her VERY newborn state (within the first week of life) since it didn’t work out with our schedules to get her mom’s maternity portraits, but I just couldn’t physically do it. But, fortunately, Addison was still acting like a newborn almost 3 weeks out! And, then there is her brother Rome. You have met him before when I photographed his first birthday party back in March. We were initially going to combine his mom’s maternity portraits with his one year portraits, but schedules, weather and my growing belly prevented that from becoming a reality… so, instead, we combined newborn portraits with almost 15 month portraits (and some family ones, of course). Honestly, one year portraits can be tough, especially if the little one is JUST learning to walk (like Rome was)… only because new toddlers generally like to walk AWAY from you and not towards you. ha! Anyway, I am so happy that I had the honor of photographing this family twice in a short amount of time. They are such a joy! So, without further ado… Happy viewing, friends!
