Reina & John – Engaged in Portland, OR!

I know this may be a little tardy for those of you that have been anxiously waiting to see what we did during our (less than 24 hour) trip to Portland, Oregon nearly two weeks ago, but I am hoping you all find it well worth the wait. Chris and I had planned on departing Philadelphia after he got off from work on that Friday evening; we were going to arrive in Portland at 11:30pm (2:30am our time) and drive an hour to a great B&B that overlooks Mt. Hood in order to do a sunrise shoot (at 6am). However, Delta had other plans for us, and we ended up not arriving in Portland until 11:30AM on Saturday morning. So, we went to plan B. This shoot was Plan B… a sunset shoot at the Rose Garden in Portland. It was a fantastic back-up plan; I must say. I have never seen so many roses in one place! My nose was thanking me the entire hour of our shoot. And, of course, the colors were amazing… and the couple could not have been easier to work with! Happy viewing, friends!
you know it is going to be a good shoot when the couple naturally makes each other laugh…
Chris’ “Garden of Eden” shot (but add clothing). :-)
this is a favorite for sure! I love the pale yellow roses next-to the green of the trees and blue sky.
Chris’ shot of the happy couple.
there is a whole series of Reina & John “dancing” in this spot that I love, but this is, by far, my favorite!
my shot through the fountain…
Chris’ shot at nearly the same moment.
And another one from Chris to close…
Next up is their second shoot at the Chinese Garden the next morning (literally just 2 hours before our flight took off!); I’m excited to share that one, too! Expect to see that post by Saturday. And, then, next week… we have “newborn” Sydney from my VERY BRIEF trip to Boston (the next day after we returned from Portland- I know, I am nuts!).
