Payton – Toddler Portraits

A little over 600 blog posts ago, back in my first year doing this thing full-time, I posted about Erin & Damon’s wedding. It is almost too embarrassing to share a direct link, but here it is anyway. Three years later, they have a little girl, and 15 months into Payton’s life, I got the distinct honor to photograph her and the new parents. Erin has been one of my most loyal fans for probably the longest amount of time (apart from my parents, of course). When we first spoke on the phone about her wedding, we just clicked (I was also a bride at that time, about to get married myself). It is almost unreal to me that she has followed me this long, especially since I don’t think I was THAT good four years ago. ;-) But, she has, and she has sent countless clients my way, as well. I am so happy that I got the chance to photograph her sweet daughter and sweet family. Days like this make me love my job and make me never want to retire. Happy viewing, friends!

Originally, we planned to meet in upstate NY for Payton’s portraits, but it POURED for almost 40 hours straight. So, it didn’t work out… But, fortunately, they only live a few hours away from us, so we met (sorta) in the middle at Peddler’s Village in Lahaska, PA (past Doylestown, in case you are wondering). They just happened to have a haystack maze there!
