The California Sun
Oh, friends, it is so good to be home. We drive through the night when we have to drive long distance with Claire because it really is the only option. So, we arrived in Saranac Lake at about 2am on Wednesday night/Thursday morning (depending on who you ask, i guess). We are still recovering from that and the epic flights and generally just being away from home for so long. When we carried Claire into her room in the middle of the night, her face was just overcome with looks of recognition and joy (in her sleepy state, of course). I felt that with her. Thank God we are home!! I say all of this, and I want you all to know that we love to travel. It is different with a baby, though. And, we LOVE visiting California (I need gray skies and wet days to appreciate the sun). We really loved introducing our baby girl to lots of new things and (more importantly) her family! Claire met two of her great-grandparents, a few great aunts and uncles and some cousins. I thought for sure that she would be totally bored with a day alone with me, but she was quite happy today. Anyway, enough said… I just want to share some highlights from the trip to California. Happy viewing, friends!
