Flush Mount Album Design
I have a love/hate relationship with designing albums. There is something about it that I L-O-V-E. I mean, I am talking about loving just as much as actually photographing the event, if not more! And then, there are a few things that… well… I could live a long life without ever doing again. Those things are the artist in me and not the business person, but I won’t go into those details. But, there is something about a finished album that makes me let out a big sigh at a job completed. Every single wedding I have ever shot that has not received an album (back in the days when I gave people the option to make their package cheaper by not having one) STILL feels wide open to me… like I never wrote the last chapter or put a “and they lived happily ever after” at the end of the wedding story. I don’t know; it is kind of hard to explain. So, when I do hand over that album, there is a great joy in doing so! I recently received a compliment from a client that my album designs were what sold them on me, in addition to viewing an entire event of mine. So… I thought I should share some of my most recent designs.
I don’t really have time to comment on each fave spread since we are about to head out the door to start our drive down South for some weddings, but here goes a tid bit… starting with Casey & Nat’s fall Vermont wedding… they wanted a more layered look with deep chocolate backgrounds.

And next Bridget & Chris… she wanted all white backgrounds with a very clean and simple design.

If you are a photographer that would love to outsource your designs, I am considering offering that service this year, so shoot me an email! :-)
