Sarah & Kyle – Sylvania, OH Wedding, Part 2
I hope all of you that celebrated Christmas had a very merry one! We’ve had an amazing week off together as a family, and we are about to head into a three day weekend! But, I have so much to share (beyond this post, we have Christmas portraits of our girls/Ellen’s 7 month portraits, Brandi & Josh’s newlywed shoot and a shoot with the Swaim family, which I am photographing in just a few hours!). But first, I continue to the full post for Sarah & Kyle’s wedding in Sylvania, OH on December 17. I know Sarah’s family pretty well after photographing her sister Bethany’s wedding last October (also in Sylvania), so naturally, I was pretty excited to come back to this small town for another Cooper wedding! All throughout their engagement, Sarah kept telling me essentially that she wanted the marriage more than the wedding, and while she was claiming to not care too much about the wedding details (which were impeccable!), I know she was really saying the best thing a bride can say! The wedding is just a day (albeit a very important day, but still just a day); the marriage is for life and is far more important than that one day that starts it all. There was one point in my career when I would’ve cringed at hearing the bride say that the wedding details weren’t her priority, but after shooting over 100 weddings, it is easy to say that the key ingredient to getting great shots is a happy bride and groom and not the most perfect or impressive or unique details (though those are fun, too!). Anyway, the wedding was a blast, just as I had expected! Happy viewing, friends!
the happy groom… Kyle!
and the blushing bride… Sarah.
They saw each other before the ceremony since their ceremony took place after sunset. I think Kyle was pretty pumped to marry this chick! ;-)
Sarah Moan of Sara Beth Photography helped me with the first part of the day. This was her shot.
I know I put this on the last post, but it is worth repeating. Sarah had prayed and prayed for snow, but it had been so mild there that it didn’t look likely. … until the forecast the day before the wedding called for light snow all morning/afternoon of the wedding! It was perfect!
Remember Bethany & Jason? Newlyweds!
This is totally out of sequence, but since I grabbed a pic of the bride’s sister and husband, I had to grab one of her brother and his new bride! Yes, all three Cooper kids were married within 412 days of each other! This sweet couple was married in Italy shortly after Ellen was born (bummer for me!). ;-)
Another shot from Sarah Moan of Sara Beth Photography… just before the ceremony. love it!
And a few of the rings…
Ready to party! I love this one!
And, to close… two from the first dance.
I could post MANY more, but I am saving that time to get these proofs out! Thanks again to the Coopers for being such great hosts! Congrats!
