Extended family portraits have become some of my favorite portrait sessions. To be clear, they are crazy and loud, but as a mom of 4 with 3 brothers and a husband with 2 brothers and a sister, crazy and loud is nothing new to me.
Early this spring, Camille reached out to me to ask me to donate to Bids for Kids, which is an amazing charity that helps protect children. I love giving to a few charities a year for their silent auctions, and this one spoke to me. So, we arranged a time to meet in person.
I have photographed her family in 2013 in NJ, 2014 in Fort Washington, PA and 2015 at Ridley Creek State Park. Upon getting together to talk about the charity, I also showed her my new products, and we talked about her extended family.
Her father suddenly passed away last year, and they did not have any great pictures of him with Riley. So, Camille felt strongly that we needed to not let any more time pass than necessary. We were able to capture portraits of Riley with everyone that could make it to Media for extended family portraits.
This was a very special session. It ended with a few tears, thinking of the person that was missed the most, but we were all happy to have done this. And, now, this beautiful family has an heirloom album with some 12×12 framed wall portraits to enjoy these forever.
Happy viewing, friends!
