Portraits in the City {Philadelphia Family Photographer – Rae Barnes}

I love my job.  Have I said that recently?  Because I think it often.  Being a Philadelphia family photographer is such a blessing!  I love meeting so many amazing families and so many fun kids.  There are some families that, even with toddler tantrums and strong wills, just nail their sessions each and every time.  This is such a family.  And, this family has been behind my lens twice this year!  I love having clients that return, but I love it even more when they return more than once in a year.  Babies change so fast, so even though it had only been 6 months since I last saw them, this sweet baby girl looks so different!  And, man, is she so beautiful.
On a beautiful October morning, I met this gorgeous family at Headhouse Square, a historic district in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  They were just starting to set up a wedding for later that day, which coincidentally was being photographed by my friend Cait.  Toddlers have a way of letting everyone know what they want or don’t want to do, so usually, I just kind of play off of that and make anything work based on how everyone is doing.  I would say that we made it work out for the best.  I love this set that they chose from their album.  We wandered from the square to their neighborhood playground where we had our very first session together when Luke was celebrating his first birthday. I love watching my little clients grow from year to year, and I feel so blessed to be able to do my job.  I hope you all enjoy this set!  Happy viewing, friends!

Check out these beautiful tabletop custom frames we made for them.  In addition, we made an album to match their albums from their past three sessions and some custom Christmas cards.
