This summer, I decided I needed to do something different and special for my returning clients for the holidays. My fall had already pretty much booked up months in advance, and I knew I had some returning clients that still needed to secure a spot to get their holiday card images. So… I scouted out a location for indoor, shorter sessions for just the kids. Indoor was important to me since I was offering this to all of my returning clients that hadn’t seen me in at least six months. I didn’t want to have to worry about rescheduling if it rained or was too cold or windy (as it often is all three in mid-November!). So… I found Studio 92 Collective in Chestnut Hill Philadelphia. It was perfect!
I’ve now photographed there twice this year. Once for my kids and my new assistant Jennie’s kids and once for a select four families. I loved it so much more than I could have imagined. I have not photographed in a studio since I had a studio in Saranac Lake back in 2007-2008. But, this was much different because the natural light in this spot is sufficient most of the time. After the fun we all had in this space with these limited edition holiday card sessions, I hope to make this an annual event for my clients that have winter/spring portraits done or for those clients that only come to me every other year or every third year. I don’t believe the shorter time frame would work as well if we’ve never worked together before.
However, I would LOVE to photograph here on a more regular basis, not just for the holidays. So, if you love the simplicity of these images like I do, reach out to me. I will be opening up some spots for the new year very soon. It would not be limited to just the kids either! We could definitely do a family here, as you will see. It has such a great vibe and is so perfect for the black and white fine art look that goes great with my new line of museum quality frames from Musea. Happy viewing, friends!

It’s amazing how much different the same space can look. This next image is much more posed but just as beautiful.

And this little munchkin…
