Main Line Lifestyle Family Portraits

Oh hey there!  Forgive me for hibernating.  I was behind in blogging even when I last blogged, which… I’m not even going to look at that date.  I am behind in sharing, and I have so much to share from last fall and this winter.  But, can we take a moment and talk about how LOOOOONNNGGG this winter has been?  I love living in a place with four seasons.  I truly do.  I like to think that I don’t complain much about the weather because each season helps me appreciate the others.  But, today is the first day of spring, and we are expecting our fourth snow storm in less than 4 weeks.  Stick a fork in me.  I am done.  I’m ready to be back outside with my kids (and my clients) loving the warmth and glow of the sun.  I am booking up my spring and summer, and that gives me hope.  🙂  But, first… these Main Line lifestyle family portraits…
Last fall, I went to this lovely family’s home in Penn Valley.  I first met them two years prior for their oldest son’s first birthday portraits in the same spot.  Since then, they’ve added another beautiful boy to their family!  I love coming to my clients’ homes.  It is such a meaningful place.  Your ordinary every day places may become mundane to you, but some day, you may move… or you will renovate… or paint… it will change one way or another.  So, having family portraits taken in that space helps mark that time in your life.  And, that’s the point of having portraits: to have a documented memory of a time to add to the chronicle of your family’s history.  I love this job, and I love working with such great families.  So, without further ado… Happy viewing, friends!

I loved what we created for this family.  Our first goal was to make a custom framed canvas.  Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of it for you, as it was completed JUST as I delivered it to my clients; its place is on the mantle, which was decorated for Christmas at the time of delivery.  Anyway… the second goal was to create a fun gallery for the upstairs hallway.  We decided to have all of the images in black and white with gold trim for a cohesive look, but we went with various patterns in the same tones to add interest.  These casual frames are hand-painted and custom designed, and I LOVE how they looked in the space.  It was perfect for them.
But even with seven images on the wall, we still had over 40 favorites, so the best solution for those images is to place them in an album.  This album is 15×10″ with luxe linen with rose gold foil embossing.  I LOVE the look of this album.  It is just so classy.  And, I love that they will always have this chronicle of this time in their life together.
