Having four babies of my own has helped me greatly appreciate the newborn stage of life. Within the first two weeks that baby is home, my clients invite me into their home. Amidst the chaos of sleep deprivation, healing from childbirth and juggling a new life in their house, they invite me into their homes to capture (what we photographers call) lifestyle newborn portraits. This honor and responsibility isn’t lost on me. I am being trusted with something deeply precious because this newborn phase is so quick. It may feel like an eternity to mom and dad as they wade through the trenches of caring for such a fragile little human, but suddenly, you wake up and your baby is a toddler.
This beautiful family has been on the other side of my lens two times before… both times were in the fall at sunrise for Luke’s birthday portraits. This time, it was to welcome their sweet little girl Claire for her lifestyle newborn portraits. It is such an honor to have clients continually count on me to chronicle their family history, and I love that they now have three beautiful, custom albums from three years worth of portraits… and we will add another one this fall! I hope you all enjoy these portraits as much as I enjoyed taking them. It was a joy and an honor. At the end of the post, you will get a glimpse of some custom frames I had made for this family from their last two sessions. Happy viewing, friends!
Thank you for stopping by. Please, contact me to book your family portrait.
